GEO for API & developer-tool companies

Find out if AI recommends your API —
and fix it when it doesn't.

Your buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity "what's the best [your category] API?" before they ever hit Google. CiteGraph tracks whether you're in the answer, shows you the exact pages and comparisons costing you citations, and re-measures every week so you know what actually moved.

Built from real audits of top-ranked API companies. No credit card.

Buyers shortlist APIs inside AI now

Developers ask an LLM to recommend an API before they read a single landing page. If your API isn't cited, your API isn't on the shortlist.

Traditional API SEO can't see it

Ahrefs and Semrush rank your API for ten blue links. They have no idea whether ChatGPT names your API in an answer — a different game with different rules.

One-time API audits go stale

A snapshot tells you where your API stood last Tuesday. AI answers change daily, and you never find out if your fix moved your API's visibility.

How API visibility tracking works

Your API audit, productized — and never stale.

01

We find the prompts your buyers actually type

CiteGraph derives the real buying questions for your category — "best {category} API", "{you} vs {competitor}", "free {category} API with {feature}" — and runs them against every major answer engine.

02

We tell you exactly where you're missing

Cited? Mentioned but not linked? Beaten by a competitor's comparison page? We map every prompt to whether a page on your site even answers it — and catch the 404s and thin /vs/ pages quietly costing you citations.

03

You ship the fixes

A prioritized worklist: missing pages to build, comparisons to deepen, schema and llms.txt gaps to close, third-party sources to earn placement in. Recommendations only — we never spam or impersonate.

04

We re-measure every week — and prove what worked

The part snapshot tools don't have. Every change is re-tested against the same prompts on a cadence, so you watch your citation share climb and see which action moved it.

Why CiteGraph

API visibility tracking — not another SEO dashboard.

Most "AI visibility" tools stop at "your API was mentioned 12 times." That's a vanity number. CiteGraph ties every lost API citation to a specific, fixable cause — a page your API doesn't have, a comparison that's too thin, a source your API is absent from — then measures whether fixing it actually changed the answer.

Is this just SEO with a new name?

No. SEO optimizes for search-result rankings. GEO optimizes for being cited inside an AI-generated answer — different signals (schema, comparison depth, citation graph), different measurement, different engines.

How do you measure something as random as an LLM?

We sample each prompt multiple times per engine and report how often you're cited, with a confidence interval — not a single coin-flip query. Trends over weeks are what matter, and that's what we track.

Which engines do you cover?

We launch on Perplexity and Claude (clean citation data) and add Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT. We're always transparent about which engines are live for your account.

Do you auto-generate spam to game the LLMs?

Never. Every recommendation is legitimate structural work. Spammy citation manipulation gets penalized by the engines — and it's not who we are.

I already did the obvious GEO work.

So had our first design partner — a top-ranked API company. We still found four repeatable, structural gaps no tool was catching. The question isn't whether you've done the basics; it's whether anything is re-measuring them.
